Qatar: The Qatari cabinet has stripped the Central Tenders Committee (CTC) of the authority to float civic tenders and empowered the municipality and urban planning ministry to form its own tenders panel to invite bids for its projects, the Peninsula has reported. According to the decision, the committee will have four members from the civic ministry and a representative each from the justice ministry, the CTC and the State Audit Bureau, which will not have voting powers.
