Qatar: The QE 20 Index in Doha advanced by 0.93% to hit 10,006.36 on Wednesday, as shares gained across the board, with the exception of insurers. The gauge gained 25% in the last 12 months. In June, index developer MSCI upgraded Qatar to "Emerging Market" status, acknowledging an improvement in the bourse's liquidity and in the exchange's regulatory framework. Shares of Qatar Gas Transport Co., better known as Nakilat, surged 3.16% to hit QR19.29.
